Last sunday Zucchero played his biggest concert to date in the Netherlands: a nearly sold out Ahoy in Rotterdam (a far cry from the almost non-existing crowd that came to Zucchero’s last solo performance there in 1993), got two and a half hours of ballads and blues-rock, by a singer and band who were clearly happy to be there. From the opening with Iruben Me (see vid), through classics like Baila (sexy thing), Overdose (D’Amore), Il Volo, Miserere, and X colpa di Chi, the concert ended with You Are So Beautiful, which saw the Dutch crowd serenading Zucchero instead of the other way around.
